My name is Jack Davies I'm 12 and I live in Bude in Cornwall. I have been paddling since I was seven, I only really started because of my dad, when he was younger than he is now, he used to go out on his surf ski. I had paddled before but not really that much. I got my first kayak, a dagger Dynamo, when I was 8. I could hand roll it when I was nine. I owe a lot to Bude Canoe club because I would have never been able to do any of the things I do today in my kayak without their support. I also met some of the best surf kayakers in the world there. Only yesterday Chris Hobson (world champion surf kayaker) came to my house so we could go for a surf. Sam Davenport (third in the world surf kayaker) lives down my road used to give me lessons. I love my kayak a Mega Fury. I got it for Christmas two years ago. It has been used by many junior world champions, and has won the worlds once. I use some Robson paddles, Chris Hobson gave me these as he got new ones from his sponsor. I was sponsored just before Christmas by Mega performance kayaks, although the boat I have at the moment is perfect for a while. The photos you've seen and the ones I have sent you have been taken by my dad who is a part-time photographer.
